I am an experienced speaker and trainer, and have achieved the Toastmasters level of Competent Communicator (formerly known as Competent Toastmaster -CTM).  I serve as President of a Toastmasters club for librarians (Club #: 660075, District 38) and would be happy to talk to other librarians who are interested in setting up their own local chapter.

I'm available to come to your staff day, conference, meeting, organization, class, event or living room to speak, train, inform, inspire and present.  Present what?  That depends.  I am a creative generalist, with many interests and competencies and can speak effectively on many different topics. 

I have developed or co-developed these full-day workshops/presentations:

• Train-the-Trainer (a four-day workshop that I co-coordinated from 2001-2005.)
• Goal-setting (as part of the Super Library Supervisor series)
• Teambuilding: working together effectively (as part of the Super Library Supervisor series)
• Effective Communication (based on the principles of nonviolent communication)

I've also developed and presented (or co-presented) a number of shorter (1-3 hour) talks:

• RSS Demystified (as part of Library Garden's Magical Mystery Tour)
• Cool Tools for Cool Living
• What in the World is Web 2.0?
• Making it up as We Go Along, An Introduction To Improv, Teen workshop presented for Camden County Library Teen Read Week, Oct 15, 16, 17, 2007.
